The American Foundation for Translation and Interpretation was established to help the translation and interpretation professions to preserve their past history, to assist in their present work, and to stimulate future research through grants.

AFTI is an independent, 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

AFTI awards national scholarships to students planning to enroll in studies leading to entry into our professions. AFTI plans to underwrite much needed research on our professions.
