|Harvie Jordan Scholarship
This scholarship was established to promote, encourage, and support leadership and professional development of translators and interpreters within ATA's Spanish Language Division (SPD) and to honor Harvie Jordan's lifetime contributions as a language professional.
Paid registration to ATA's 58th Annual Conference in Washington, DC (October 25-28, 2017). Scholarship winners will be asked to contribute an article to Intercambios, the SPD newsletter, reporting on the conference or a session they attended.
Nominees must be a member of the ATA Spanish Language Division in good standing with two or more years of membership.
1) Demonstrated leadership skills and career goals;
2) ATA Spanish Language Division involvement and commitment to service; and
3) Special contributions to translation and interpreting.
Please limit your response to each of the selection criteria above to 100 words or less.
Nominations will be numbered, de-identified, and distributed to the Scholarship Selection Committee. The Selection Committee will consist of members of ATA's Spanish Language Division.
All selections are final. The number of scholarships available will depend on the funds available.
